2020 ELECTIONS

Jump to city-by-city guide.

VOTE
Change comes from voting. More than 40% of all households in California have dogs (2016 data from the 2017-2018 AVMA Pet Ownership & Demographics Sourcebook). Pet owners are a large voting block that can determine who wins an election.

LEARN
Knowledge is power. Your city, county, and state elected officials decide where in our communities dogs are allowed and are not allowed on leash and off-leash. But rarely do we know their thoughts on dog owners’ concerns. In the fall of 2020, we sent local candidates questionnaires specifically designed for their district to ask about their positions on dog issues.  Their responses to these questionnaires are posted below.

Denotes the MOST favorable dog access candidates based on information available to us.

Winners are in BOLD and * after their name.

Click on the candidate’s name to see their completed Peninsula Dog PAC questionnaires.  If there is no link on the candidate’s name, that candidate did not complete the short questionnaire after receiving three (3) emails from us with the questionnaire attached.
